DIVE INTO SIPADAN
This Virtual Reality experience produced by Scubazoo was commissioned by the Semporna community college to engage local people who, despite living on the doorstep of what is regularly voted the best dive site in the world, are unable to make the trip due to the prohibitive cost.
Taking local people to Sipadan in virtual reality is an amazing opportunity to connect communities with environmental heritage. Seeing the beauty of the reefs for the first time was a moving experience for many at the events that were held around the island of Borneo in the year after making this video. It is hoped that that through exposing people to nature in this way we will all have a better understanding of why we should love and protect it.
